1. City Palace 

It is one of the most significant historical places in Udaipur. This structure, built of marble and granite combines Asian, Medieval, and European architectural styles. 11 modest palaces make up the complete complex, along with other magnificent buildings.

2. Bagore Ki Haveli

Saheliyon Ki Bari, also known as The Garden of Maids, is a green oasis in Rajasthan’s arid landscape and is situated along the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. The garden has a lotus pond, elephant-shaped fountains, rain fountains, and a museum with royal household artefacts.

Legend: The layout of this garden was created by the king himself for his adored queen and the 48 maidens who accompanied her in marriage.

4. Sajjangarh Palace

Sajjangarh Palace is one of the most beautiful historical places in Udaipur. It is located on Bansdara Peak, a hilltop in the Aravalli region. You can see the entire city of Udaipur from the palace in all directions.

Interesting Fact: The monument has been featured in the media, most notably when it served as the residence of an Afghan Prince in the James Bond movie Octopussy.

5. Jag Mandir Palace

The three-storey Palace is an opulent building constructed of marble and yellow sandstone. A tiny museum is housed at this palace in Udaipur. Inside the palace, the Gul Mahal, Bara Patharon ka Mahal, Zenana Mahal, Garden Courtyard, and Kunwar Pada ka Mahal are some famous architectural structures.

Interesting Fact: It is stated that Shahjahan’s mental image of Gul Mahal served as the basis for one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal.
